Dance-a-thon A big thank you to Nora and all the dancers that raised £2,300 for Hereford & Worcester Fire Service The donation has enabled the Hereford & Worcester Fire Service Sports and Social Club to purchase a VersaClimber exercise machine. This equipment will help to maintain firefighter fitness and is directly related to the role that a firefighter has to carry out operationally. A CHARITY golf day was held on Saturday May 13th to raise money in memory of a 10-year-old boy. Alfie Hyett died in 2016 following a tragic accident which, a county coroner ruled, followed an 'act of childhood curiosity'. His bereaved family were helped by the charity 4Louis which donate memory boxes to hospitals to give to parents after they have lost a child. The contents of the box help families to find their own way through the grief and contain two teddy bears, a hand printing kit, a box for a lock of hair, a glass angel, a story book, a balloon and seeds to plant. Each box is tailored to the age of the baby or child lost and costs approximately £30 to produce and distribute. To raise money for the charity, Alfie's father, Nick Hyett, and other family members organised a charity golf day at Brampton Golf Course in Madley that members of the club proudly took part. Mr Hyett said: "For such an unknown charity, they have been an enormous help and I wanted to raise awareness of the charity and help other parents.” The day raised over £3,000 To donate directly to the charity, visit justgiving.com/4louis ANDY'S DONE IT AGAIN ! PROSTATE CANCER TESTING
Each test costs in excess of £20 and are not state funded.
We are extremely grateful to Hereford Lions who have agreed to fund the testing and to Mo Yarwood and her 3 nurses who carried out the tests.
If caught early there is an extremely good chance of making a full recovery, these tests are therefore extremely important.
We hope to carry out further testing in December, so look out for the signs advertising them.

FUNDS RAISED FOR HOSPICE
Alan & Gareth Davies organised a skittle competition featuring teams that play at the club and some of Gwyn`s relatives who joined us for the evening.
The idea was to raise money for the Hospice and to present it to them in the name of Gwyn Davies. The evening was a great success with some good food to round it off.
Andy Butts won the raffle, but rather than take the prize he used it as a prize for a raffle the following night and made an additional £180+.
The total raised was £438 and the Management Committee agreed to top it up to £500. Well done to everyone who helped organise the evening, sold draw tickets or took part. Cheque presentation with Stephanie Hinksman from St Michael's Hospice They went over the top!
